Marie Tremolet

Nature-based Solutions and Policy Analyst – United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

Marie Trémolet coordinates the policy work for the project Mapping Nature for People and Planet and executes the policy analysis to identify the priority nature-based policy commitments that will guide the analysis of Essential Life Support Areas (ELSAs). She also supports the implementation of consultations with country stakeholders.

Marie has worked with the UNDP Nature for Development team since early 2019. During this time, she has supported different initiatives, including the Equator Prize 2019, the Finance for Nature Series, the Nature for Life Hub and the development of Nature for Climate briefings that highlight the potential of nature-based solutions to achieve climate commitments in over 50 countries, as part of UNDP Climate Promise.

Prior to joining UNDP, Marie worked for a non-profit organization on a reforestation project in Benin and as an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analyst for Moringa Partnership, an impact fund investing in agroforestry projects in Latin America and in sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a Masters in International Development from Sciences Po Paris School of International Affairs with a focus on Environment and Latin America and a Bachelors in Commercial Engineering from ICHEC Brussels Management School.
