Sam Barratt
Chief of Youth, Education and Advocacy – United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
Sam Barratt is Chief of Youth, Education and Advocacy at UN Environment Programme (UNEP). In this role, he co-founded the Playing for the Planet Alliance, a collaboration with the video gaming industry to support decarbonisation and introduce green activations in games. He also works with governments and education institutions to integrate sustainability into their curriculum and core offer to students and leads UNEP’s youth and sports portfolio, leading on the Sports for Nature programme with IUCN and the IOC. Previously Sam worked as Chief of Public Advocacy for UNEP, Director of Communications for Avaaz and the Head of Press for Oxfam.
