UNBL is for anyone who is interested in learning more about mapping, conservation, and sustainable development. Anyone is welcome to create an account and access our global datasets. We support a wide range of technical formats\u2014from standard OGC services (WMS\/WMTS) and STAC COG assets to specialized vector tiles (pg_tileserv and Martin).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Beyond importing data, UNBL allows users to download layers for further analysis in GIS software like QGIS or ArcGIS. To further streamline this, we have launched an open instance of the UNBL STAC. This provides &#8216;streaming&#8217; access to our datasets, allowing you to run complex global analyses in QGIS, ArcGIS, and other GIS software without the time-consuming process of downloading heavy data files. We also fully honour the providers whose data usage and access licencing is much more limited. Attribute data is thematic information \u2014 such as a feature&#8217;s name, type, or some data value \u2014 that, combined with spatial data, forms a complete geospatial dataset. UNBL typically displays one attribute per data layer, though some vector layers expose additional attributes when a user clicks on a feature in the map view.
