She co-leads the development and implementation of UNDP&#8217;s work to map essential life support areas for nature, climate change, and sustainable development. Working in English and Spanish, Annie is responsible for liaising with a diverse team of scientists, policymakers, and implementing partners across her portfolio to facilitate delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals. She has worked with the Global Programme on Nature for Development since 2015.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Exp\u00e9rience et expertise ant\u00e9rieures<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Annie a une formation en ethnobotanique, en science de la conservation et en communication. Elle s'int\u00e9resse aux liens entre la science et la politique afin de d\u00e9velopper des approches holistiques pour la conservation de la nature et le d\u00e9veloppement durable. Elle est titulaire d'un double Licence en biologie et en changement social local et mondial du Macalester College, et d'un Master en biologie du CUNY Graduate Center et du New York Botanical Garden. Ses travaux de fin d'\u00e9tudes ont r\u00e9uni la phytochimie, la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique et l'ethnobotanique pour \u00e9tudier l'utilisation et la gestion communautaires des myrtilles n\u00e9otropicales (queremes) en Colombie. She coordinates the ELSA science team, and has played a critical role in the development of the project from a single pilot country to over a dozen use cases, with the potential to scale to 100 more.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>UN Biodiversity Lab - Co-Directrice<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Annie coordinates the <a href=\"https:\/\/unbiodiversitylab.org\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UN Biodiversity Lab<\/a>, a platform that brings together over 400 of the world&#8217;s best spatial datasets on nature, climate change, and sustainable development to enable policymakers and other stakeholders to use spatial data to take action for people and planet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>Projet sur l'int\u00e9grit\u00e9 foresti\u00e8re de la NASA et projet Vie sur Terre | Coordinatrice du PNUD<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Annie coordinates UNDP&#8217;s engagement in two projects that bring together NASA, and UNDP in order to provide accessible, high-quality spatial data to national policymakers. The project team has worked together since 2016 to develop data on the &#8216;last of the best&#8217; tropical forests, human pressure, and water provision as well as to validate this data with countries for use in their reports to the Convention on Biological Diversity and on Sustainable Development Goal 15.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><i>Responsable de l'\u00e9tude de cas sur l'Initiative Equateur<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Annie a dirig\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.equatorinitiative.org\/knowledge-center\/e-library\/case-studies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s\u00e9rie d'\u00e9tudes de cas de l'Initiative \u00c9quateur<\/a> de 2016 \u00e0 2020, en travaillant avec une \u00e9quipe de r\u00e9dacteurs, d'\u00e9diteurs, de concepteurs et les laur\u00e9ats du Prix \u00c9quateur du PNUD.
