Restoring degraded ecosystems can result in cumulative biodiversity, climate, and livelihood benefits, making people and nature more resilient. This collection explores opportunities to restore ecosystems for the benefit of nature and people.\n\t\n<h2>\u00c0 propos de cette collection de donn\u00e9es<\/h2>\n<p>Les activit\u00e9s humaines sur Terre ont conduit \u00e0 la d\u00e9gradation des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes naturels : on estime que seuls 10% de la surface de la plan\u00e8te resteront exempts d&#8217;impact anthropique direct d&#8217;ici 2050. La d\u00e9gradation des sols entra\u00eene une perte de biodiversit\u00e9 et de fonctions \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques, rendant les communaut\u00e9s plus vuln\u00e9rables aux effets du changement climatique et aux pressions socio-\u00e9conomiques. Au moins 3,2 milliards de personnes subissent les <a href=\"https:\/\/ipbes.net\/assessment-reports\/ldr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">effets n\u00e9gatifs<\/a> de la d\u00e9gradation. Les Nations Unies ont reconnu qu&#8217;il \u00e9tait urgent d&#8217;inverser les processus de d\u00e9gradation g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e en proclamant la D\u00e9cennie des Nations Unies pour la restauration des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes. Les activit\u00e9s de restauration pourraient <a href=\"https:\/\/www.decadeonrestoration.org\/what-ecosystem-restoration?hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">g\u00e9n\u00e9rer 9000 milliards de dollars de services \u00e9cosyst\u00e9miques et \u00e9liminer de l&#8217;atmosph\u00e8re entre 13 et 26 gigatonnes de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre d&#8217;ici \u00e0 2030.<\/a> La restauration des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes \u00e0 partir d&#8217;un \u00e9tat d\u00e9grad\u00e9 peut avoir des effets b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques cumul\u00e9s sur la biodiversit\u00e9, le climat et les moyens de subsistance, rendant ainsi les populations et la nature plus r\u00e9silientes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Les causes de la d\u00e9gradation et les objectifs de la restauration des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes \u00e9tant vari\u00e9s, la restauration peut \u00e9galement prendre de nombreuses formes, allant de la <a href=\"https:\/\/life-peat-restore.eu\/en\/project\/poland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">r\u00e9humidification de tourbi\u00e8res ass\u00e9ch\u00e9es<\/a> \u00e0 la <a href=\"https:\/\/implementers.decadeonrestoration.org\/implementers\/50\/restoration-des-ecosystemes-de-mangrove-de-la-reserve-de-l-oueme-mab-unesco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">plantation de for\u00eats de mangroves<\/a> dans les deltas des fleuves des pays tropicaux. La restauration peut \u00eatre class\u00e9e en <a href=\"https:\/\/wedocs.unep.org\/bitstream\/handle\/20.500.11822\/36251\/ERPNC.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trois cat\u00e9gories distinctes.<\/a> La premi\u00e8re vise \u00e0 restaurer les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes naturels d\u00e9grad\u00e9s pour les ramener \u00e0 un \u00e9tat plus intact, par exemple en favorisant la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration naturelle. La deuxi\u00e8me vise \u00e0 restaurer les fonctions des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes convertis, par exemple en modifiant les pratiques agricoles pour restaurer la sant\u00e9 et la fertilit\u00e9 des sols.
