Su labor consiste en apoyar la gesti\u00f3n integrada de la tierra y el agua, fomentar la planificaci\u00f3n participativa del uso de la tierra, combatir la degradaci\u00f3n de la tierra y la desertificaci\u00f3n, realizar evaluaciones y modelos de erosi\u00f3n e\u00f3lica e h\u00eddrica, promover la conservaci\u00f3n del suelo, explorar modelos de suelo y paisaje, y promover la gesti\u00f3n sostenible de la tierra.<\/p>\r\n<p>Prior to this role, Feras held the position of Senior Scientist at ICARDA and served as an Associate Professor at the University of Jordan. He also plays a pivotal role in coordinating the FAO flagship report titled &#8220;The State of the World&#8217;s Land and Water Resources for Food and Agriculture &#8211; SOLAW&#8221; and is coordinating the update of the &#8220;FAO Guidelines on Integrated Land Use Planning&#8221;.
