Jamison Ervin<\/h1>\n\n

Jamison Ervin dirige el equipo de Naturaleza para el Desarrollo del PNUD, con el objetivo de situar la naturaleza en el centro del desarrollo sostenible. Se encarga de la visi\u00f3n general del proyecto y del liderazgo del proyecto Mapeo de la Naturaleza para las Personas y el Planeta, que incluye el UN Biodiversity Lab y la cartograf\u00eda de las \u00c1reas Esenciales para el Soporte de la Vida. Su objetivo es ayudar a los gobiernos y las comunidades a utilizar los datos espaciales para transformar su forma de tomar decisiones y situar la naturaleza en el centro del desarrollo sostenible.<\/p>\n

Jamison Ervin has worked at the intersection of nature and development since 1990. She currently works at UNDP, focusing on enabling countries to develop a ‘Map of Hope’ for nature-dependent goals that puts nature at the heart of their decision-making. She also focuses on supporting local action around nature-based solutions, including leading UNDP’s Equator Initiative, on supporting governments in identifying nature-based solutions for climate, and on supporting action and ambition around protected areas. Her previous work is with The Nature Conservancy, the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, and the Forest Stewardship Council. She holds a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont.<\/p>\n
