Spatial data, including earth observation, has been deployed in order to monitor and maintain the ecological integrity of Moldova&#8217;s ecosystems.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t<h1>\u00ab\u0418\u0437\u0443\u043c\u0440\u0443\u0434\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0441\u0435\u0442\u044c\u00bb \u041c\u043e\u043b\u0434\u043e\u0432\u044b<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Relative to it&#8217;s size, Moldova has rich biota, with over 80 species of mammals including\u00a0wild boar, wolves, badgers, wildcats, and roe deer. Approximately 15% of Moldova remains natural vegetation cover. The terrain stretches across three eco-regions: the Central-European mixed forests, the Pontic steppe and the East European forest steppe. Among them are the lady&#8217;s-slipper orchid (Cypripedioideae), the barbastelle bat (<em>Barbastella barbastellus<\/em>), \u0431\u043e\u043b\u044c\u0448\u0430\u044f \u043c\u0435\u0434\u043d\u0430\u044f \u0431\u0430\u0431\u043e\u0447\u043a\u0430 (<em>Lycaena dispar<\/em>) \u0438 \u0447\u0451\u0440\u043d\u044b\u0439 \u0434\u044f\u0442\u0435\u043b (<em>Dryocopus martius<\/em>). Moldova has over 257 species of resident and migratory birds, with over 80 of these migratory species occurring in Moldova&#8217;s wetland areas.
